The Elite Cup brings the best of rink hockey to Santo Tirso from 29 October to 1 November, with the AZEMAD rink at the heart of another major event in the sport.
Rink hockey’s elite come together once again for one of the most eagerly anticipated competitions at the start of the season. From 29 October to 1 November, Santo Tirso hosts the Elite Cup 2026, a special edition that brings the competition to northern Portugal for the first time, with the AZEMAD rink once again providing the stage for the action.
Having featured in previous editions of the competition, the AZEMAD rink continues to establish itself at major rink hockey events, providing the conditions players and teams need to compete at the highest level.
Santo Tirso Welcomes the Elite of Rink Hockey
The Elite Cup brings together some of the leading teams in Portuguese rink hockey in a tournament that marks the competitive start of the new season.
The men’s competition features SL Benfica, Sporting CP, FC Porto, OC Barcelos, HC Braga, AD Valongo, UD Oliveirense and AD Sanjoanense — the eight highest-ranked teams in the national championship last season.
The women’s competition is also part of the programme, with SL Benfica, ACD Gulpilhares, Escola Livre de Azeméis and AD Sanjoanense taking part.
Over four days, Santo Tirso becomes a meeting point for players, clubs and fans, celebrating the intensity, talent and passion that make rink hockey such a distinctive sport.
A Rink Ready for the Biggest Challenges
The AZEMAD rink’s presence at another edition of the Elite Cup reinforces the trust sports organisations place in the brand and its connection with the sport’s leading events.
Designed to meet the demands of rink hockey, the AZEMAD rink reflects an ongoing commitment to quality, reliability and innovation. Every installation is an opportunity to demonstrate the importance of the right infrastructure in supporting athlete performance and delivering a high-quality sporting experience.
More than simply providing a playing surface, AZEMAD aims to ensure that every competition takes place under the best possible conditions, placing the players’ experience and the development of the sport at the heart of its priorities.
AZEMAD: Supporting Rink Hockey
The continued presence of AZEMAD rinks at major competitions reflects a commitment that goes beyond sports equipment. It is about supporting the growth of rink hockey, its athletes and everyone working every day to raise the standard of the sport.
In Santo Tirso, this commitment takes another step forward at an event bringing together some of Portugal’s leading teams and promising four days of intense competition and excitement.
The AZEMAD rink is once again where rink hockey comes to life. This time, in Santo Tirso, for another edition of the Elite Cup and to celebrate, alongside players, clubs and fans, the passion for a sport that continues to inspire generations.
